It’s always nice to come across a female composer once in a while in the domain of classical music. As usual, it was Mr. Emmett Cohab who tipped me off and pointed me in the direction of Jennifer Higdon. Her list of compositions is long, and I’m appropriately ashamed that I’d never heard of her until now.
Admittedly, I don’t exactly love the genre of her music, but I’m deeply in awe of her skill as a composer.
Now, I’m off to the library to see if I can’t find some more of Jennifer Higdon’s music.
